  1. I've long been noticing, and enjoying your comments here.  Now, I've taken to wondering who you are (other than ejp626).  Care to reveal yourself?  I promise to not spread the word if you don't want...  ^_^

Beware, your note above *wasn't* sent via private msg, but rather via whatever the other thing is that's public -- I forget what it's called.

Thanks. My ignorance.  So long as ejp626 can see it...  (I must admit I'm no fan of aliases.  Even Rooster_Ties... :D

  2. Joe, next time you're in Toronto we'll have to get together, and I think I can guarantee I can get Steve to join us...I'll just have to buy the wine!   (And BTW, while I don't know if you're familiar with his playing, but Steve is just as good a bassist as he is a writer.)

  3. Eric, I'm going to assume that you're not THE Eric Peterson of Street Legal and Corner Gas repute.  That's simply because I've never heard of that worthy having anything to do with Jazz...

Good luck with your production.  Reminds me of MY school days.  ^_^

  4. I've often wondered:  just how did you get so hooked on the CFL?  And when did this start?

  5. Steve, let me know when/if the Bickert stuff arrives, please.

    Thanks...

  6. The Ed Bickert package has been sent.  Now, it's up to Canada Post and USPS to fill your needs! ;)

I think the technical quality of the stuff will be adequate...remember that it's old stuff, all done live to 2-track (and analogue in most cases), and concert or concert-like circumstances.  But the music's great:  it's ED!

  7. Just noticed you were listening to the Friedman/Thompson "Opus D'Amour".  I was listening to that this morning, and loving it again.  It's one of the most favourite of all the albums I have recorded. I had a bit of trouble matching the sound of two different pianos, two different halls, but well worth it for such good music.  I'm glad you like it too...

(By the way, next time you're in Jazzland say hello to Axel Melhardt for me.)

  8. Yeah, John, I ordered it there myself, but I wanted to see what it would cost with postage and handling, and I like to order from the company directly if I can, as they (rather than middle-men) get more money.  I think P&H/shipping is going to be the death of online sales...

  9. Hi, Colin...

I've just responded to your offer of the Miles Radio &TV disc, but I realize that you may not want to send it off to Canada. You know, postage costs and all that...

If you'll send me your address I'll drop 5 (US) in an envelope to cover the costs...

    Thanks...
