In Jack Chambers book "Bouncin' With Bartok" about Richard "Dick" Twardzik chapter 10 describes Twardzik's playing piano as part of Lionel Hampton's touring band. Do any recordings of these sessions exist?

I recently got an LP titled "The Loonis McGlohon Trio". It is on the Jefferson label (number 1110).The cover notes say that this session was recorded during a Charlotte, North Carolina WBT radio broadcast. Does anyone know the date of this session?

Looking for a copy of the booklet from Transition LP TRLP-17 in English. I have the booklet in Japanese but cannot read.

CD got here on Thursday, Oct. 29 (2015!!) as promised by Amazon. Hopefully "In Amsterdam" scheduled for 20 November will be delivered on time. Regarding "Jackpot" do not let all the comments about an out of tune piano dissuade you from getting this terrific CD. IMHO this is Brubeck and Desmond at their finest in front of a live audience. One of my favorite tunes is "Ace In The Hole" and the 10-minute version of "You Go To My Head" has Dave at his piano-pounding, improvising best. The recording quality is also very good- the stereo separation is perfect.

Great news! Amazon emailed me that delivery will be Thursday, Oct. 29. I hope it happens.

I am interested in how does the CD sound? Is it the usual Japanese high quality? How about liner notes? Is it in a jewel case or a mini-lp slip case? OBI?

Got an email today (10/23) from Amazon saying promised shipment has been delayed. Will email when shipment is ready. What's up? I hope the Japanese have not delayed release of this long overdue Sony/Columbia CD.

"Compadres" and "The Last Time We Saw Paris" Columbia LPs have not been released on CD. Hopefully the Japanese will correct this soon.

The Art Pepper 3-LP set (number 105). Never issued on CD.

I own several Japanese Denon re-issued Savoy mini-lps. They have a clear, hard plastic (or poly) open-ended cover that fits over the cardboard sleeve. These are not the common re-sealable plastic sleeves that most mini-lps come with. Sometimes called a "plastic slipcase". Does anyone know where I can purchase more of these hard plastic covers?
