  1. Bruno is currently hammering out a deal with Catalytic via Bandcamp for downloads on the items carried by the Catalytic group. So...not everything. There are quite a few available right now. They are searchable by label, but it's listed as Okka Disk.
  2. if you enter the full Okkadisk in the search bar, you'll find 82
  3. Perhaps some clarification is in order. A few years ago, Bruno was ready to throw in the towel. He didn't, with some encouragement from friends, one of which works at Orbit. Orbit listed a few of the titles at that point. When Bruno moved to FL, a good portion of the inventory went to Orbit's warehouse instead of the dumpster. At the same time, Bruno's sole distributor went out of business and that inventory also went to Orbit. That's when Orbit listed all the available Okka titles. Bruno's website has not been updated since 2014. An Orbit friend is helping him work on that, and it should be up and running "correctly" soon. During the sorting and organizing of the inventory, some of the missing CDs were found for 12022 (the Brotzmann box). He had paper and 2 of the discs, but the 3rd disc was missing - that's why it has been gone for so long, but those have now been found, and yes they are real. Orbit also initiated wholesale sales to Dusty Groove in Chicago, and the Catalytic Sound website (Vandermark). Neither are carrying the full catalogue, so Orbit is the only place to find what's avaiable at this time. Soon, the Okka site will also be "correct". Bruno is hoping to make some of the out-of-stock titles available again, and is even thinking of doing a few titles on LP. Hope that helps.
  4. Bruno is - with a little help from his friends at Orbit
  5. Orbit Records is currently handling the Okka catalogue for Bruno. That site (orbitrecords.com) is the only place to find the FULL available catalogue. There area currently 2 other sites are carrying select titles at this time. The Okkadisk website should be up and running again (correctly) soon. There will be an Orbit link on that site, once it's fully back up.
  6. It is Okka - just being sold through Orbit online at this time.
  7. Orbit Records is taking pre-orders for the Brotzmann Tentet / Octet 3 CD box they've got coming back out.
  8. it seems that if one wants to dispose of a large collection - unless one is willing and able to piecemeal them on ebay, then the best bet would be a record store-of which there are less and less that can and are willing to take them, and/or afford them. In my experience, libraries are not interested anymore. Radio stations may be able to accept some, but there are few of those left that even play LPs anymore. My guess it that a good majority of those would end up in the private collections of the DJs / interns. In Chicago, Dusty Groove would take the A+ items and nothing more, but give you pretty good money, Groovin' High would take a few more and a little less money, and Jazz Record Mart would take them all because they are less discerning, and can afford it space-wise and $$ wise. They would give you a lot of money for the good stuff and not much for the B and C stuff. All 3 would probably send someone out to your house to peruse. as far as the other stores in the Chicago area, I doubt most would be able to absorb / afford 10,000 LPs, most being rock oriented stores, with little / less interest in "jazz". Another idea; some public radio stations have fund raisers - physical events where people donate items and the proceeds go to the station. You could donate all of them and take a healthy tax deduction, and feel good about a) getting the items in the hands of like minded jazz fans, and b) helping out for a good cause. The only down side to that is that a lot of them would probably end up in a volunteers' collection. hope this helps... and good luck, Elo
