I have been looking for the Aretha Franklin/King Curtis Rhino box set-"Don't Fight the Feeling (Fillmore West live recordings). Been tough to find at a reasonable price (under $100). Amazon and E-bay prices just too high. Any leads/ help out there in your areas? Suggestions? Thanks, Jeff

Wikipedia shows that Wayne Henderson, trombonist from the (Jazz) Crusaders passed away on April 5, at age 74. Sad news. The Jazz Crusaders helped launch my love of jazz back in college... RIP Wayne...

Surprised that no one on the Board has heard or has this set... It got rave reviews when the deluxe set came out and sold out quickly. Wonder how many of the songs were recorded in Muscle Shoals. BTW, if you get a chance to catch the new Muscle Shoals documentary, it is outstanding...

Rhino is coming out with a less expensive box set-minus the swag provided with the initial 10,000 limited edition first pressing. For the R & B sideman sessions- all(?) available elsewhere- is it worth the plunge as a Xmas gift request??

The Van Morrison re-issue with (mucho alternate takes) of Moondance comes out tomorrow. Either the Deluxe 4 CD/ 1 Blu Ray or the 2 CD (1st CD is remaster and 2nd disc is some alt takes) The Deluxe set seems overkill-especially at over $55-but the 2 CD issue at $22 sounds tempting. Van is the one non-jazz musician who I have followed all these years. The word is that Van is none too happy with this re-issue and he posted so on his web site. Much has been written on this on the Hoffman site... Any takers?

I have a NM Mosaic Basie Roulette Live LP set- 12 LPs (MR12-135)- that I purchased several years ago from an estate for $345. I have since acquired the CDs from this set so I would like to find a good home for the set. All is in superb condition-and most of the LPs have not been played. First choice would be a trade for comparable value in CDs with boxed sets given top consideration. I have nothing in particular in mind-but my taste is in hard bop, West coast jazz, soul jazz, big band. Not a real interest in piano solo or trio, and no interest in avant garde. Back up option would be best cash offer in excess of $265 plus shipping. Would rather not go the E-Bay route. US offers only due to shipping costs.
