I have a book called Songs By Sinatra where the author recreates the "lost" Sinatra Jobim album the way Reprise wanted it. I burned a CD of it- sounds pretty good.
Wasn't the official version of the album only a stingy 28 minutes or so? Seems especially stingy given how much material they had in the hopper.
I went to several shops over the weekend and none of them had any of the Reprise titles in stock, new or used.
This is a bummer - those titles need to be available. At least some of them, anyway.

I sprung for the Farlow as I am a huge fan of that material with Eddie Costa.
I got the confirmation email from them, and it was missing the shipping address, so I called. Fabulous customer service! FABULOUS!
It is Echoes. Hearts of Space is all Stephen Hill.
I have had some interesting conversations with John Diliberto and his wife [they both put Echoes together]. Diliberto was into prog pretty heavy back in the day. He dissed me and my colleague for not having any Magma records.
Oh yeah.
Zapp and Roger were doing the same kind of thing in the 80s, interesting to see it come to light again. In a BIG way. You can't turn around without hearing T-Pain on a record in the pop world anymore.
