  1. The Harold Land CD will be a single disc. No info yet aside from the personnel listed on the cover but I'm sure it will be updated within the next few weeks.
  2. Dusty Groove has a brand new listing up for The Complete Joe Henderson Blue Note Studio Sessions. The Mosaic box is a 5CD set and has a street date of about September 1st.

  6. I believe track 7 is Crazy Rhythm.
  7. My ears aren't good enough to ID anyone but there are sound clips in the AllMusic link in my first post if someone wants to try.
  8. It sounds like a full band and I would guess it was recorded from the audience (or at least on amateur equipment) as the quality is pretty poor.
  9. I've already looked through Kelly and Payne's online discographies and didn't find anything (although I could have missed it). Usually I can figure this stuff out with a little work but I had to plead for mercy on this one.
  10. Can anyone provide any info (dates, personnel) on this session? I can't seem to find anything on it. It's a Collectables CD (COL-5793) and there is no info at all in the packaging. There seems to be a small Charlie Parker Records logo on the tray card but I don't think this session is in the big 30 CD Charlie Parker Records box set. Here's the link to what AllMusic provides: https://www.allmusic.com/album/live-mw0000031914 Any help would be appreciated!
  11. Now Available! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Unreleased-Art-Pepper-Volume-Eleven-ATLANTA/124496649010?hash=item1cfc941b32:g:bN4AAOSwGolf3~-l
  12. According to my search on the Jazzology.com website, Bob Havens appears on 16 of their CDs.
  13. DeepDiscount.com has it listed as coming out on CD on December 4th. It's a 2CD set.
  14. I ordered pretty early on the day the set was announced and well before the notice came that the first pressing sold out. I was charged a couple weeks ago but no shipping notice and nothing on my UPS page.
  15. I was pretty sure I had the Tatro disc and went a bit crazy here trying to find it until I realized that album is included on the Lennie Niehaus Complete 50s Recordings CD set.
  16. Some brand new releases from Jazzology and their other labels (Audiophile, Black Swan, Progressive, Solo Art): CDs: Flip Phillips - Flipenstein (1981 session with Lou Stein, Mike Moore, and Butch Miles with bonus tracks on the Progressive label) Ronny Whyte - Whyte Witchcraft: Songs of Cy Coleman (from the Audiophile label) Muggsy Spanier - Rare & Unreleased Recordings 1941-1952 (2CD set with four different sessions featuring Pee Wee Russell, Bud Freeman, Jess Stacy, Eddie Condon and more from the Jazzology label) Louis Armstrong - The Paramount Recordings 1923-1925 (Early Satch on the Black Swan label featuring King Oliver, Ma Rainey, Fletcher Henderson and more) Johnny Guarnieri Plays Harry Warren (available to purchase solo or included if you buy the Johnny Guarnieri book) LP: The Olympia Brass Band of New Orleans (classic session from the Audiophile label) Book: Superstride - A Biography and Discography Of Johnny Guarnieri By Derek Coller with an Appreciation by Dick Hyman (This book includes Solo Arts Label Disc 'SACD-173' Johnny Guarnieri Plays Harry Warren) www.jazzology.com
  17. The Woody Herman set (and also the Hank Mobley set) have been pushed back to late October.
  18. Thanks for the info. I might have to pick this one up.
  19. Could you tell me how much electric piano is played in the set? I'm hoping it's mostly acoustic but can't seem to find any info. Thanks!
  20. Looks like that Paul Desmond set is coming soon: But it was Paul Desmond’s Take Five from the album with a flowing, seductive melody, Brubeck’s memorable piano comping with a 3 and 2 beat division and Joe Morello’s vivid, measured drum solo that brought 5/4 to the jazz masses and beyond. Desmond recorded his own version with a very different quartet on the forthcoming Paul Desmond: The Complete 1975 Toronto Recordings (Mosaic MD7-269), coming in early 2020.
  21. Just got the Buck & Jo set in the mail today from Dusty Groove. Only $20 plus shipping and it looks like they have more copies in-stock.
  22. I go to Amazon or DeepDiscount.com and look at their Coming Soon section. I go to "CDs" and "jazz" and can see what's coming for a few months ahead. I find it an easy way to keep up with everything coming out.
  23. Looks like the new Woody Herman set has been pushed back to March 2019.
