  1. Exclusive bonus Groundhog Day pillow to be included in the first pressing of Blue Note's Lee Morgan Complete at the Lighthouse LP box set!
  2. Still reading John McWhorter's Losing the Race. Now also reading Ken MacLeod's The Execution Channel.
  3. LOL again. If they don't fuck up the mastering, that's $265 less for the superior format.
  4. Wes Montgomery Full House (Riverside, UCCO-40021), mono Platinum SHM-CD from 2016.
  5. I do have the 2016 mono Platinum SHM-CD of Page One (UCCU-40035) which like the Mosaic is also based on the Grundman transfers. Pretty fantastic. That is my go to version. Haven't listened to Page One on the Mosaic yet.
  6. "So I went out and bought me a leisure suit I jingle my change but I'm still kinda cute."
  7. Ah! I bet it can be traced back to an ashram.
  8. I recently bought the 2009 domestic ESP CD of Why Not? A Japanese seller had a sealed copy left and I was able to add to an order. Probably the best sounding CD version.
  9. It seems to me the kind of stuff you'd be able to buy at a meditation centre. Not suitable for general release. Can you remember where you bought the cassette, Lon?
  10. Hans is right. The only Steve Hoffman mastering I like is the John Coltrane MCA/Impulse! compilation from 1985 From the Original Master Tapes. I think you'll be very pleased with Addey's work, though, CJ.
  11. You can also be so full of shit you can no longer smell your own stench. Happens a lot in social justice warrior circles.
  12. British vaccines come without Bill Gates' chip? You're still on Mac OS?
  13. Just made my first Covid-19 vaccine shot appointment for June 14.
  14. It's a great set sonically, especially if you're not fond of digital compression. I'm going to read the book today.
  15. Cancel culture wokies (like AOC) also insist that "Sex work is work", so what's the problem here exactly? Case closed.
  16. In the current climate, the record companies will surely blindly cancel Steve Coleman anyway, solving most of our problems of what actually happened. I'd be genuinely surprised if Pi Recordings released another album of his.
