  1. Sal, I also saw them in Chicago, great show. Was that you that sat close to me at the Roy Haynes show last week? I had a camera, you asked to borrow a marker??? I think I heard the name Sal mentioned, just thought I'd ask. I'll be back this Sunday for the Buddy DeFranco show.

  3. I will be heading out on my annual baseball trip in one week. I am going primarily for to see baseball, but would like to visit some local jazz clubs. I will be in Baltimore on June 29, 30 and July 1, Philadelphia on July 2nd and 3rd and Pittsburg on July 4th. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Mark
  4. Finally!!! I picked up both "Stop and Listen" by Baby Face Willette and "Judgement" by Andrew Hill, my collection is now complete! I bought the last two off of EBay for a decent price. I don't usually look to buy an entire collection of many things, but was so close, I'd thought I'd try. Thanks to all who have sold or helped me locate the last several I needed.

  14. Several of the early Connoisseurs didn't say "Connoisseurs" on the front of the disc. Does anyone know which one they were? For example, Kenny Dorham's "Whistle Stop" doesn't say it on the front, but says it in the liner notes. Thanks for any help you can give me on this! Mark

  21. Peter, Did you go to the show? I'm sure it was great. I have seen Sonny twice and he was fantastic, although I could do without some of the calypso stuff.
