  1. I love Rumpelstiltskin! I have several different versions but my favorite is on In Person. This one is very good. I also checked out 1-2-3-Go-O-O-O! That was good as well! I'm looking forward to this.
  2. Well I can't wait to get both in May. I'm just thankful they've finally been released on CD. I went to YouTube to listen to a few tracks from Music, You All and I enjoyed it! I definitley agree. It's great he has so much music out but I would've loved to see what else he would do for the 2nd half of the 70's and at least into the 80's.
  3. I just saw that dusty groove will be releasing Music, You All and The Price You Got To Pay To Be Free on CD in May. https://www.dustygroove.com/item/788179 https://www.dustygroove.com/item/788181 I do like most of the Black Messiah but there are songs on there that I simply just have to pass. Are these two albums similar better or worse?
  4. Thank you guys for giving me so many recommendations. I decided to get Black Fire, Judgement, and Pax. Nobody mentioned Pax but I saw Freddie Hubbard and Joe Henderson are on it so it has to be pretty good I would assume. I want to get Dance with Death but I could not find it anywhere for a reasonable price.
  5. I just bought three Andrew Hill CD's: Grass Roots, Change, and Passing Ships. I'm looking for which albums I should get next by him. I know Point of Depature is widely considered his best and most famous album and I am not that crazy about it. I listened to for the first time when I was 12 years old and now I'm 24 and I like it a little bit more but not enough to buy at the moment.
  6. http://www.amazon.com/Last-Word-Warner-Bros-Years/dp/B016E29ZIK/ref=sr_1_7?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1444924196&sr=1-7&keywords=miles+davis&refinements=p_n_date%3A1249114011 Does anybody know about this? I see it's 8 discs. I know a few years ago Warner Bros. UK released a 5 disc box set with material mostly from his albums on it. Is this more unreleased stuff or is extra live material that never made it on to the live around the wolrd concert? Any guesses?
  7. I have so many of those already. I don't even understand why a lot of those were released so many years later.
  8. "Goin' Down" South is incredible!!!
  9. Extensions is very good. I need to still get Expansions as well. I think I will give Head on another chance possibly later this week. I just listened to "The Dude" on Electric Byrd. It reminded me a lot of Fat Albert Rotunda so I believe I'll definitley enjoy this.
  10. So far there has been 7 titles recommended to me that I will purchase. The 70's blue notes surely won't get the same attention as the 50's or 60's material but I could see myself having a pretty good amount.
  11. Is Odyssey of Iska better than Moto Grosso Feio? I'm trying to understand that album but its kind of extreme. Supernova is pretty similar right? Odyssey of Iska is one of Wayne Shorter's best, in my opinion. I just checked it out and liked it way more than Moto Grosso Feio. "Calm" was amazing.
  12. I have so many from those two decades so it only makes sense to get some stuff from the 70's. I don't have EVERY good release from those decades but I have enough at the moment.
  13. Wow I just listened to two tracks from Knucklebean. I might buy that CD tonight. That was excellent!! I checked out the Bobbi Humphrey tunes with Lee and I didn't like it too much. The Sidewinder was decent but I don't know if it is just because it was familiar. Plus I don't collect any vinyl. I'm 22 so all I know is CD's and MP3's basically. My dad said I should consider buying some LP's but I'm not sure yet.
