  1. Thought that was the frogs. (Apologies to all our Francophone friends ) MG Absolutely not. English duelists : fine upstanding fellows, up at the crack of dawn , down a pint of champagne before we do the deed, ten paces , may the best man win, must come back to my place after for a pint of sherry, would you like to marry my sister sort of chaps French duelists : nasty angry sort of republican fellow, quick to fly off the handle, might be sober enough to hurt someone; the grudge will stay with the family and the grandchildren; not even the decency to stand still sort of scoundrels
  2. Grumplestilkskin in one....sounds like a night out in the UK! Of course we English would have ask him for a chance of reply over a duel the next day but you cannot export such manners it seems

  11. Having read this it reminds me of several arguments I have had about peoples bad behavior and 'excuses' when I used to work with offenders. Sure enough there are reasons why people do things that are bad. We can judge those reasons and choose to accept or reject them.
  12. I got back into the Larry Young set the other night...good grief what a talent!
  13. Plus the fact you on get three spark plugs that fit..one you have to bash down to fit it in and then it breaks and so you think...nah eff it...it will still work Actually I do like ikea to be fair and have always liked their poang chairs hoping other members of my family would buy me one....pleeeeeeeaseeeeee
  14. I have been testing the test version for a while now and I am quite impressed but I alway have been with firefox. I have had it now for years as I hate IE( have to use it sometimes at work when the suits are watching as we are not supposed to install it. IE has always been difficult to use , full of problems, no tab browsing, pop up hell and just so clunky. Mozilla need a pat on the back for this. The linux version which I use is really really good and better even than the windows on I use at work
  15. There is an allen key missing from the diagram....it must be fake!!!!!

  17. yip yipity yip....a nice clean copy of the wilson and the other rarities for me....I had given up on buying any more reissues. I have heritage on a japanese issue but would strongly recommend it to others...as I would with most of these...save maybe the 3 sounds which never grabbed me when I bought them on LP....sold them again pretty quickly afterwards if I remember
  18. I really liked his tune Ode to Life which is one of my favourite piano tracks of all time
  19. Now that would be a lovely box...imagine ( although I have all of them already!) all the extra notes /photos..really different music from session to session...not going to happen I would guess...I have some of the bootleg stuff with these two from 69 -70 and they were really cooking. Got the japanese copy of the Peacemaker after long searching.....well worth the wait
  20. A real shame as he made some cracking recordings. My favourites were the Prestige numbers Shame
  21. They will also have cctv recrods of the time I am sure for maybe 28 days afterward to be able to review. I am sure they will cctv the one group they distrust less than the customers ie the staff
  22. do not notice it any more....after i watched play on tv once from back in the 70's and 80'syou can see when and where he is making 'noises'... When i listened to the tracks on cd...they noises seemed to blend in with what he plays and the way he plays it.....the guy does not sit still and strains throughout ...not the only one ..either Admission of the week is that sometimes I hum along with him as I listen ....
  23. I was lucky enough to hear him play near where I live - twice Better than all of that for me was getting a chance to play with him after the gig which was a real treat. He was just keen to have a youngster sit in and have a ball. Really nice guy too
