  3. Have you gone into a store recently and tried to sell regular US Blue Note CDs? I think you'll be lucky if they offer 50 cents to a dollar each. If you wanted store credit, you might get them up to $2, but even that might be lucky. Remember, many stores are selling sealed/new current Blue Note CDs for around $6-8. Used, they have to sell less than that which means they have to buy them for even less than that to make any money. Kevin Hey Kevin, I sold 100 cds for $3/each. The store wants more. If I had auctioned these on ebay, I would have gotten perhaps $5 on half of them, and the other half wouldn't sell at all. I'm happy with the deal. I'm going to sell more of them over there. Maybe there aren't many jazz lovers in your part of the country?
  4. Hahaha! (These Cowboy fans get uptight!) (what can I say, my team sucks as well!) Not at all. I appreciate your input, Kevin. I'll let you know how it goes for the hundreds of RVGs I'll be offering to a store. They go for about $4-6 on Amazon. I'm hoping to get $3 apiece and was told it might be possible by phone. Amazon also charges another $2 for shipping so if the store offers them for $4-6 then it's still a deal for the customer. Perhaps they can pay me half. I'm driving 45 minutes away to a major college town where jazz is still popular with the kids.
  5. I'm asking for $3/piece, and a store said they might be able to do that on the phone. We'll see. I don't want to ebay all that stuff.
  6. Responded to all pm's. Thanks for the offers, guys. I did not receive your pm, Impossible. Can you try again? (Want anything, Agg? Paul? Even Chuck has sprung for a disc.
  7. I don't have the time to price these cds. All are in excellent condition unless otherwise noted. They are all for sale. Please look them up on Amazon and make me an offer on any of them that you want. I'll take less than Amazon, but I won't dump them for peanuts either. If your offer is reasonable, we can make a deal. Ebay is the eventual destination, but I just wanted to offer them here first. I've decided to chop my collection in half. There will be more in the weeks to come. All my RVGs and stuff are being sold to a local store. It's not worth selling off $4-5 cds piecemeal. Make you offer inclusive of shipping please. International buyers are welcome, but please include a shipping estimate to your country. Thanks. 12. Thanks Noj! Just to show what a grand Organissimo tradition this pool represents, here are our past winners: 2005-6 Conn 2006-7 Edward 2007-8 Noj 2008-9 Conn 2009-10 Vajerzy
  13. Edward won this pool once a few years back. I once posted the yearly winners. I believe I won twice! But my eye is on Vajjy who clinically picked us apart last year. Noj won once as well, and Van B usually hovers around the top people. SS1 can't be counted out. Couple of rookies playing this year.
  14. Thanks to Vajjy for bringing me back to this forum by initiating the 2010 NFL football pool. Looks like it has brought SS1 back as well, which is great since it was his idea years ago to start a pool. Nice win by KC, Mr. Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
  15. I think the Colts are in for a rough year. The Super Bowl loser usually seems to have a disappointing season the year after, and Peyton Manning put everything into last season's performance. He had another good game, but lost anyway. I found it difficult to judge the Patriots during preseason. They have so many young players that it could go either way. They are young and athletic. Could lead to a lot of inexperienced losses, or it could lead to a terrific season. If we judge by the first game, then things look awfully promising.
  16. My picks will likely be mocked as well. It seems my results mirror those of the Patriots. If they have a bad season then so do I.
  17. I put NO in for you- as the pool admin- I can make changes or add picks if you get shut out- CONN is the head of this and I'm assuming he's ok with this since you listed the pick before the game started. The picks lock 1 hr before scheduled kickoff- that's why you couldn't pick NO. Of course it is fine with me. But Vajjy makes the decisions this year. It's a long season, Moose. Lots of time to catch up.
  18. okay, my picks are in. I have no clue who is likely to win first week of the season.
  19. I put in the wrong password too many times and have been locked out. Will try again later. For the record, I'm picking NO tonight. Thanks for taking over the reporting duties, Vajjy. I could use a break on that. Good luck to everyone!
