Well, forget a response to that one; you've pushed the wrong button. I'll be on YouTube for a couple hours, listening to the O-Jays, the Chi-lites, the Stylistics and such, after a listen to Everybody Plays the Fool.

You got the political forum taken away...
Is that who did it? Thanks, Scott; it certainly saves me time and keeps my ignore list nonexistent.

Surely everyone remembers the first time they heard Nabors sing and felt their jaw bounce off the floor. It's the only reason Santa Lucia makes my favorites list

It's strange to revisit this thread that I began almost 14 years ago and had forgotten about. In the meantime (probably 8 or 9 years ago). I got rid of my baseball books, with the exception of a handful, when I grew disgusted with the juicing and other things that had happened. I don't think that I still have any of the books that I mentioned in this thread.
I gave up on the game, but kept the books. But then I have five or six books on aquariums and haven't had one since high school.

Don't expect to provoke me any further. Your ongoing invectives tell much more about you and your ilk than you can imagine
Way to go. You successfully dodged the question.

Where do you ACTUALLY draw the line betwen what sexual harassment is and what is just an attempt at trying to be nice and showing an minimum of politeness in everyday life? Forums over here are full of complaints about workplace situations where simple, innocent-enough remarks like "Good morning - oh, you look great today" invariably elicit fits of hysteria about "I feel INSULTED! He is reducing me to my outward appearance and is ignoring my professional competence and his remark turns me into a sex object!" whine ... whine ....
How about when you're at work, you keep things professional? If you wouldn't say it to a male fellow employee, don't say it to a female fellow employee. It doesn't seem that difficult to me. Of course, if your first reaction is to demean the woman for complaining, this might be something new to consider.

I'll take that bet.
Not to add to the conspiracy theories but.... When all this came out The Weinstein Company was already in deep shit financially and Harvey certainly didn't wield the power he did a decade ago. When Mike Ovitz really was "the most powerful man in Hollywood" only Joe Eszterhas ever took him on in public. Once he fell from power everybody started started piling on.
I'm not saying Weinstein is going to do anything. I don't believe Weinstein is he exception in an industry notorious for sexual exploitation, and, consciously or not, others in power in the industry will react in a negative way. Sort of "yeah, it was terrible what she went through, but she didn't have to run her mouth" type reaction.
