  1. Actually just part of a Bobby Hackett Chronological Classics that contains this material.
  2. Thank you-I snagged the heck out of it. Pretty happy about it too.
  3. Whoa! I wholly approve. There are some worthwhile rarities on this set by Tuff Green, Phinus (sic) Newborn (Newborn family band), Wilbur Steinberg and others. I can't imagine that there are a lot of people who want a 20 disc set spanning James Reese Europe to Albert King... I, predictably, want this darn thing.
  4. Elmo Hope, Percy Heath, and Philly Joe Jones on two sessions here as well.
  5. I didn't expect to get much out of the Ellington '32-40 box as I had the material in other collections, but it is probably my all-time favorite Mosaic set.
  6. Became aware of this recent expanded release thanks to this thread. I pull this one out somewhat regularly and was glad to have all the other material from these sessions in one place. Hobart Dotson!
  7. I too really like the Jayhawks particularly Tomorrow the Green Grass. A record I've been listening to forever and still love is Pure Prairie League's first album:
  8. If it's back on the market, I'll take the Paul Chambers/Wynton Kelly set. PM sent.
  9. It has been a very long time since I sat down and listened to Canyon Lady.
  10. Thanks to insights gained from this site and the Mosaic set, I've gone on a Sonny Clark Trio binge which has taken me to the Time trio recordings.
  11. I went straight for the trio selections based on advise from this forum.
