I just dropped the pic in the box - highlighted it - pressed the link button - and put the address in.
It's too new to be in Discogs and nearly all of the online links went to either sellers or streamers,
so I just linked it to the Huelgas site.Lovely new recording BTW.
I'll try that sometimes, thanks!

My odometer is regularly tested for accuracy.
Last time I looked, the rule was "you break it, you own it"

Not enough centuries have passed.

And at some point, old shit just dies and the culture becomes about preserving the death.

Take comfort in the likelihood that at some point in time, some other rich person of no permanentant significance will buy the now-new McMansion, tear it down, and build a brand new replica of the house that used to be there.
They will be hailed as a savior of culture for a day or two and then life will go on.

A country with a comparably short cultural history is unable to preserve parts of the forementioned .... some countries are able (and willing) to maintain monumental protection/urban heritage conservation ....
I don't know, we seem to do well with dead soldiers and shit like that...

This notion of the permanence of man-made objects is folly. Just look around. Every thing goes at some point.
Well, maybe not pyramids.
Otherwise, survival of the fittest applies to objects as well as to living species.

Bottom line - nobody cared enough to preserve that house.
Nobody.
End of story.

Oh yeah, the Mario movie. Watched that with my granddaughter. It was fun.
Sorry for invading your presence.

Parks and Recreation is the extent of my exposure to Pratt. That was good and that was enough.

Robots? I'd rather have humans up their game. Is that asking too much?

“Perhaps a historic-cultural monument designation could have saved the Zimmerman house, or allowed the necessary time to delay demolition. Tragically, calls for preservation fell on deaf ears.”
So hey. Apparently Chris Pratt wasn't the only one who didn't give a shit, so don't blame him.

Ok, who is this? Jamie?

A teaser cut ("C3") showed up in my Spotify"New Releases For You" feed. Works for me just fine, and am preordering the digital release, for sure.

Braves took 2 of 3 from the WS champs this weekend. I'll take it.
So will I. The Rangers are treading water right now...hopefully Bochy can keep bailing water until the leaks all get plugged.
The rest of the division has been most helpful in that regard.

It's the Young Brothers band. Might even be Lester singing?
The subject is mentioned in here.

Well, this is concert, not staged. But still...yeah, seems like a real (and rare) opportunity!
Fabio Luisi came to the DSO with a solid reputation as an operatic conductor, so maybe this is some kind of networked synergetic machinationalism. No matter, I ain't complaining!
Really looking forward to seeing what Ring Saturation is going to be. They did a concert version of Die Walküre a few years ago and just that one fucked up my head, very much. The "super-captions", being able to follow the story in real time instead of just "understanding" it...that thing got dark in a hurry and never lit up. No light at the end of THAT tunnel...
So yeah, I am excited (and thankful/grateful) for this opportunity!

We hardly travel these days and my wife doesn't do opera (at all...), so this is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. Carpe dieming!
I have a DVD set of the whole thing, but getting uninterrupted viewing time in this house is difficult, even for ballgames.
Apparently the DSO is the only orchestra in North America doing this right now and inquiries are coming in from all over America.
First the eclipse, now the Ring. What's next?
