Person of Interest - Season 2.
Incredibly entertaining and even better than season one so far (half a dozen episodes).
Pretty topical too!

Good price (around $23) on the latest Hip-O-Select Clifford Brown box "The Singers Sesions" at Amazon Japan.

Just made my modest pledge. Really hope you make it Jim.

Bought a used copy at one of the Disk Union's in Tokyo, complete with box and booklet, for 1800 yen or just below $18.
That is definitely what I consider a bargain! Must have been mispriced.

Easy to understand accent.
So not Yorkshire.

I'm completely ignorant about football/soccer -- could there be 15 players dressed per team in a game? That'd make it 'a tribute' package.15?
When did eggs start to come in groups of 15?
Whatever happened to respect for tradition?
In Canada, we get eggs by the dozen, and there are (in some big stores) packages of 18. You want just 6? Some shops may cut a 12-pack in half for you, and charge 60% of the price...
Wrong sport! There are however 15 players in a rugby union team.

Miles again, Amazon UK again, 'The Bootleg Series Vol. 2' for 10.17 GBP. Don't think this one is incorrectly priced!

Hmmm...well I searched for a Grant Green thread and didn't find one, at least under Artists--thus I started this one.
OK, support for my complaint today about the board's search function. Let's face it, guys, it sux. IPB, are you listening?
Yep, I agree
I normally search via Google (or other search engine) & insert organissimo with the criteria
Just searched under Artists, titles only and 15 threads appeared, so not sure what the problem is.

Amazon.co.uk cancelled the order stating the item was incorrectly priced. Oh well, I can't blame them.
My order was also cancelled. Disappointing but understandable.

Rubicon.
Love the fact that it doesn't play to the lowest common denominator of viewer intelligence. I'm quite caught up in trying to unravel the plot(s) but fear the slow pace and lack of action will lead the studio to do an axe job on it before it has chance to develop. Really like the Gordon Willis style cinematography.
Late as usual but just recorded and watched the entire 13 episodes. Really enjoyed Rubicon and wish there had been a second series to answer at least a few of the unanswered questions!

Ok, a real bargain for once but don't expect it to last. The 20 CD 'Perfect Miles Davis Collection' for just over 5 pounds on Amazon UK.

Also a Mosaic set, Ike Quebec - Complete Blue Note 45 Sessions for around $15.
That price is obscene !
Well it was 1500 yen so closer to $16 really!

Nice to have decent stores here in Tokyo. Cycled over to the Disk Union in Shinjuku yesterday and picked up the following for around $1 each.
Johnny Griffin - The Congregation (TOCJ)
Clare Fischer - Surging Ahead (TOCJ)
Charlie Haden - Quartet West
Terence Blanchard - Jazz In Film
Also a Mosaic set, Ike Quebec - Complete Blue Note 45 Sessions for around $15.

Life was the first time I really noticed him, loved the series and wish it had remained on the air longer.
Same here, first time I saw him was in 'Life'. Never saw him in 'The Forsyte Saga'.
I too liked 'Life' a lot and was quite smitten with Sarah Shahi as his sidekick. Happy to see she will be appearing in 'Person of Interest'. Anyone else love that show?

Homeland - Season One
I'm a big fan of Damian Lewis, he does not disappoint in this show.
Found season one of 'Homeland' compelling viewing, very powerful.
Agree about Damian Lewis, just saw him in the recent film 'The Sweeney' and it was strange to hear him talking in a London accent!

Alexander, congratulations! Best jazz album of 2012 according to The Guardian.

This is a great deal on the two 'Jazz on Film' box sets.
Highly recommend both of these wonderful sets.

Yes, they are both excellent, real labours of love.
