  1. Joe Henderson on Milestone. Blue Note (from late thirties to early sixties) or Impulse (from mid sixties on)?
  2. More information on this edition can be found at www.konfrontationen.at/ko17/ Nickelsdorf could be really great this year. I'm looking much forward to the festival. Anyone from the board happen to attend this?
  3. Sounds Of Liberation – New Horizons (Porter, 1972 / Re-issue 2010) Byard Lancaster, alto saxophone; Billy Mills, bass; Rashid Salim, congas; Khan Jamal, vibraphone; Monnette Sudler, guitar; Dwight James, drums; Omar Hill, percussion.
  4. Oliver Nelson Orchestra ‎– Afro/American Sketches (Prestige, 1962)
  5. Giorgio Gaslini and Quintetto Vocale Italiano – Freedom Jazz Dance (Soul Note, 1992)
  6. Chamber 4 ‎– City Of Light (Clean Feed, 2017)
  7. Prince Lasha’s 1962 recording debut, The Cry!
  8. That is (again) a great looking festival on paper. I am just holding my breath to see Curran's performances and Pere Ubu on Saturday. Also looking forward to the MILESDAVISQUINTET! on Wednesday. Loved their 2015 release. Norbert Möslang & Jason Kahn — pleasant surprise as I lost Möslang from my radar. Nice to see that Kondo is still playing. I haven't had the chance to see him in non-Brötzmann formulas yet.
  9. This looks great — I was just playing Akchoté's La Monte Young: Compositions 1960 (Arr. for Guitar) this morning. David Thomas (Pere Ubu) came to mind while reading the title (and description) of this book. Some things will never change I guess.
