  1. Hank must of had a deep understanding of music history to pull so many old songs out, some of his older picks are perplexing, and have never been done otheriwise in jazz. someone he knew had a 78 collection or he listened to a lot of radio or something, i dont have specifics on this
  2. You know concord Brubeck in Moscow ?? Turns out there’s a 2 lp Russian only version with tons of tracks not on the 1 lp concord. Found lp 1 which is Same side 1 as US counterpart then a completely different side two feat an extended prince will come
  3. good job my guy, isnt it great how much he recorded and the quality what was recorded, i really cant think of any clunker lp in his discography

  6. only thing i have of him besides the bootleg lp with 2 cuts in montreal with Bird is the GNP west coast jazz lp with dave pike and lenny mcbrowne.

  8. He packed it in newspaper like a 4th grader and it was D.O.A: of course he blames usps but it was 100% on his packing - he said he’ll mail me another this time double boxed and hope usps does there “best with it “ No it was goood to go before he mailed it horribly

This was my most sought after diamond disc and was located Monday in Tennessee. Take C has some alternate lyrics and also hope to locate

  13. i dont understand this. was this guy always a 'personality' was speaking and or comedy part of his show. he was a leader of a big band? i have yr fathers mustache on bootleg bird lp, thats the only thing i know him from, and i think ive seen a columbia 6-eye from the 50s of him and thats it
  14. the laughing turns the scene into something extra demneted for sure, so thats chubby jackson, ive seen the clip before. Legend is he is still mad today lol .
