  1. I get that one too! Now who in the world would buy a septic tank cleaning system over the internet? Besides, I'm in the middle of Los Angeles - their ain't no septic tanks anywhere around here that I know of!
  2. Heck, Mike, I'm not offended. On the contrary, some of the stuff that I have on CDr would probably offend a few souls around here! Btw, i dig your avatar! I have that album as a BN jukebox 45. Pretty neat; wish they're release that one.
  3. I get several dozen such spams each day at work. The ironic thing, of course, is that I have no need for "penis enlargement." Every once in a while the "breast augmentation" spams come with pretty pictures.
  4. Now that I've had a little while to take the tour, I'd have to say that Organissimo - right here! - should be the new home for the old and estranged BNBBers. But I'm taking that literally since you've done such a fine job essentially recreating our old stomping ground with updated software and a more positive, open-minded outlook. Yes, this is our new home, so to speak, but I can't rule out the AAJ boards for their established players and somewhat different perspective. I felt somewhat guity joining everyone in testing the waters there (and at Harlem.com). We kinda swooped in en masse and took over their playground by sheer force of numbers. The vets there accepted us graciously, but i did feel like part of an invading army. Here, it feels more like home - the same ol' place but with a new URL. Ray
  5. Okay, you talked me into it. I'm closing my office door and turning up "Memphis to New York Spirit." B)
  6. To answer your begged question, let's just talk about misc. music in the "misc - non-political" thread.
  7. My only concern, Jim, is having too many seperate forums to wade through. I'd rather see more overlap in subject matter than so much segregation of issues. For example, I really don't see the need for seperate "reissues" and "new releases" forums (i didn't at BNBB either). Just lump all new CD releaes together. I also think "Artists" and "Discographies" could be combined as well. I think it just makes for easier, less compartmentalized reading. But I fear I'm in the minority on this one... Ray
  8. Mike, as far as I'm concerned anything that's on LP but not yet on CD is fair game for burning and trading. I'll have to take another look at your list and see if I can help... Ray
  9. No, definitely no one should sell CD-Rs unless it's music from one's own band. While I can't throw stones since I've done my share of "trading" off the board, I usually frown on any blatant advertising for CD-R swaps. Most of us here can read between the lines and figure out when someone is looking for something rare or oop. In other words, let's all just try to be discrete. Ray
  10. For me, it's too early to tell (heck, i just got here, though i like what i see so far!). But I fully agree with both 'Moose and 'Testa - I'll be like a lemming following the gang. I really had hoped that the BNBB would settle down and we'd all migrate back, but that's looking increasingly unlikely. What a mess and too much bad blood now. And there's no way in hell I could ever be a regular over at Jazz Corner. It's just not a good fit for me. I like what I see at AAJ and there are many familiar faces their as well. Looks like my time will be split between here, AAJ, and the SteveHoffman forum. Who ever said that too many choices was a bad thing? Plus, I really dig the smilies here! B) Ray
  11. Nice forum, B-3. Me like! Oh well, what's another forum or two between friends. I think AAJ is gonna have some serious competition. Ray
