Sorry I didn't respond for a bit. Not sure. I would have to dig it out. I've got a few different things from that era.

Great poll! Trane was clearly my response, but I'm betting that several of the youngest players out there might say Shorter.

Unless I am missing something, this is definitely a boot. I have had this material on a tape for several years.

After many years as a fan, I saw Sonny Rollins, too, at an outdoor show a few years ago. He was amazing, almost two and half hours of straight blowing. Alas, there are too few of these "giants" left, and, IMO, no one to replace them.
