Don't worry about it - if you fuss and dwell on every missed opportunity/blown audition/fudged solo you'll never do anything productive. Brush it off, work towards the next goal....there's always another.

I like his concept of 'modular compositions' and 'composer as improvisor' ... He's an interesting mind as a composer and some surprising musical moments pop out in unexpected/unintended places.

Very cool resource there... here's a few more I've come across in my Interweb travels: Carla Bley - leadsheets & piano reductions. Steve Swallow - leadsheets. Michael Mantler - scores for entire albums - including jazz orchestra, a symphony, many songs, tunes and chamber groups.

Cool - my wife would love those - as a stamp collector and a Beatles fan!

Yeah, she's fantastic eh! Great sense of humor - Pet Project is great, the lyrics are hilarious, great band (borrowed from Carla's guys) ... She's a wicked organ/hamonica/whatever player - found all over Carla's stuff (wasn't her first appearance when she was three on Escalator Over the Hill?) Either way, she's a fascinating, creative musician - hope to hear more from her soon...
