  1. Die Hard is a Christmas Movie?

I know that Die Hard is a Christmas movie because many years ago, a friend played it for me at Christmastime and told me so. Ditto for Die Hard 2. I'd never seen them before, and I haven't seen them since.
  2. Berklee in the News (and it ain't pretty)

So did/do I, a lot. In the case of Ortiz in particular, it's really hard for me to reconcile the artistry with the dickishness.
  3. 11/10/17 "Louis C.K. has finally addressed one of the comedy world’s biggest open secrets: the stories of sexual misconduct that have trailed him for years. 'These stories are true,' he wrote in a statement of remorse shared with HuffPost. . . .

  9. Gulf Coasters, Be Safe!

Re the photo in the previous post: It's gotta be Photoshopped, only it's not! At least Marie Antoinette didn't wear cfm heels* to leave the palace during a rainfall and go tour a calamitously flooded region. *Please Google "cfm heels" if you don't know what they are.
  10. Happy Birthday Charlie Parker

Once again, Now's the Time! A New York Times op-ed was published today for the occasion — not a music column, mind you, but an op-ed. At the risk of sounding like a cutesy greeting card, Happy Bird Day.
  11. Apparently Valerie's son later posted these links: R.I.P., Valerie Isabel Paul Bishop
  12. Gulf Coasters, Be Safe!

Here Are Ways You Can Help People During Hurricane Harvey [animals too, and of course during the aftermath of the windstorm too] Then if you wish, you can check out suggested charities here (I always do):
