  1. ....and they signed Josh Bard.....he could be a steal if healthy and a very reliable back up . But can he catch Wake ?
  2. Mark Teixeira was smart to sign with the Yanks, Boston is not the environment to play for that kind of money. Look at Manny , people bitched about his 20 mil a year...... every year . He was the best hitter i have ever seen and he did help us win 2 WS championships . And all people (around here) talked about is can they unload him with his salary. And now they bitch about the $$$ JD Drew makes and how he is overpayed........they are all over paid (except youk). The problem with these salaries is that it limits teams you can trade these players to down the road and i think the Sox learned that lesson ......especially after the Lugo situation.
  3. The Yankees keep spending , Didn't they learn anything from the Tampa Rays ?
  4. Colonized Mind By PRINCE ...best track of the week and the whole year .
  5. WOW , what a turn of events, last night on the sports network here n Boston they were actually giving props to Teixeira for taking less money and going with Boston. BUT Washington and Baltimore are not even negotiating right now with him ???..right? I don't think he is going to get 250 mil even from the yanks ?
  6. Channel 5 in Boston are reporting that the Red Sox brass including owner John Henry have flown to Texas to meet with Boras and are ready to sign Teixeira to a 8 year 184 million deal !!!!!!
  7. This and other lost recordings can be found in The akashic records.
  8. I don't know why the Sox are waiting to contact him ?
  9. Jim Rice should be in the Hall .....i found this in response to a fans question : [Question from fan:] I remember watching you when I was in high school and how they always talked about the strength of your forearms and your bat speed. I also remember an "urban legend" that you could break a bat at the handle just by swinging and flicking your wrists. Any truth to that? Tom F. Tyngsboro, MA [Rice answers:] I did it twice in games. On two separate occasions I broke bats without ever making contact with the pitch and both were check swings. I think one was in Oakland and a curveball started out high and I committed to swing, but when it broke downward on me and I tried to stop my swing I was left just holding the bat handle in my hands. Now, doesn't that sound like a Hall of Famer?
  10. I don't think the Yanks will ever go bankrupt . With the new stadium comes Luxury boxes and TONS of $$$$$$ that the old Yankee stadium didn't produce.
  11. Not my auction, on ebay with less than 2 hours at a decent price. http://cgi.ebay.com/Gil-Melle-Complete-Blu...%3A1%7C294%3A50

  13. Oh yeah this is photoshop, I never liked Aniston i don't think she's that special looks like your average girl from high school . She is big time below AVERAGE...if she was an actress (and i use that term loosely with her) in the 30's,40's,50's she wouldn't be a blip on the screen....maybe an extra.
  14. My Walking Stick by Louis Armstrong with the Mills Brothers 1938......this track is a hoot . Without my walking stick i'd go insane can't look my best i'd feel undressed without my cane Must have my walking stick cause it may rain and when it pours can't be outdoors without my cane.
  15. Also remember Sabathia went 0–2 with a 10.45 ERA against us in the ALCS in 07 . One victory from him and the Indians go to the WS and maybe win it !
  16. Well don't always believe Buster Olney and even Gammons (who i like) i remember them saying how great Kevin Brown was and Gammons went so far as to say he would win the Cy Young award. What happened to all the young yankee pitching ?....like Hughes , are they giving up on these kids?
  17. Mosaic Big Boxes i would say ; Anita O'day Ellington 36-40 Small Group Sessions Hodges Small Groups 56-61 Top 3 Selects: John Patton Bobby Hutcherson Carmell Jones
  18. Telepathy by Bill Stewart is another one that is a CD-R and here is a snippet of a review from Amazon from someone who purchased it: This CD is not pressed from a master as most CDs you buy are. It's a CD-R that's printed on demand by Amazon themselves. As of this writing, the information appears under Editorial Reviews, but not in any of the product description areas where one might expect. The print quality is no better than passable on the CD label and artwork, sort of blurry and not cut evenly. The music data seems to be fine, but of course I have to wonder about the longevity of the product, being a burned CD.
  19. The Red Sox have signed 2008 MVP Dustin Pedroia to a six-year, $40.5 million extension, with a team option for a seventh season. The deal locks up the second baseman’s services through 2014 (2015 if the option is exercised). WEEI.com’s Rob Bradford has learned that the team option is only good if he is with the Red Sox. If he gets traded, the option is not valid. According to the Boston Herald, Pedroia will receive a $1.5 million signing bonus along with the following annual salaries: 2009 - $1.5 million 2010 - $3.5 million 2011 - $5.5 million 2012 - $8 million 2013 - $10 million 2014 - $10 million The club option in 2015, according to the Herald, is for $11 million, with a $500,000 buyout.

  21. Is there another release besides the Mosaic that you can find "Come In Out of the Rain" by Nat King Cole ?
  22. On his Myspace page he has this quote: "Good taste is the death of art" , quite the opposite, the death watch is on ........its very telling he posts a quote like this, his work is like Helmut Newton on photoshop-roids. See sometimes owning a Mac is a very terrible thing.
