  1. So using that code we'll get the 99$ discount PLUS the 8 free records? Anyone can confirm?
  2. Here is a good promo from VMP to get a discount on new memberships (3, 6 or 12 months). In addition, it seems, to the 8 free records (if you subscribe by the end of the year). Here it is
  3. This box is uninteresting to me mainly because of the selection (how to not put Ascension?). About the price, don't know, I read there's a great work and care on their releases (AAA, mastering, high quality jackets, podcast, booklets, art prints, etc). I'm instead watching at some of their Spiritual Jazz releases, since it's active this 20$-off promo on July.
  4. Hi, I found this Vinyl Me Please promo coupon http://rwrd.io/w9qajh7 it gives 20$ off the first order (it's valid for some days). They have a pretty interesting catalog with audiophile AAA records. Waiting for the Spiritual Jazz bundle.
  5. Searching for a good microfiber cloth I found this maniacal topic https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/cheap-microfiber-cloths-scratch-my-vinyl-recommended-brands.734154/ where almost all agree that microfiber cloths are absolutely to avoid in place of a thing like this, obviously not available for me. Others say to use microfiber cloth for cars. Like these ones? I'd make a solution with L'Art du son + distilled water (ratio 1:5?), put in a spray bottle and keep it for reuse in the future but I read the solution is not conserved for more than 2-3 weeks. Or as an alternative what other fluid you advice, less expensive and spray-ready just for starting easy? I'm watching this one I won't use Spin Clean, I'll clean by hand. Any covers to advice? Anyway I read that labels don't need to be covered, they are wet at first but after dry are back as before
  6. @mjazzg How do you protect the label while washing and rinsing? I would be almost oriented on these very simple kits, what do you think is the best one? Someone has microfiber cloth instead of brush for cleaning, are they okay anyway? https://www.amazon.it/Soluzione-Antistatica-Espositore-Supporto-Lasciugatura/dp/B07RZTPX5G/ref=sr_1_18?__mk_it_IT=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&dchild=1&keywords=kit+vinili&qid=1586677181&sr=8-18 https://www.amazon.it/Professional-Vinyl-antistatico-microfibra-detergente/dp/B009GJEAZW/ref=sr_1_3?__mk_it_IT=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&dchild=1&keywords=kit+vinili&qid=1586677181&sr=8-3 https://www.amazon.it/Big-Fudge-Collezione-Soluzione-Rimuovere/dp/B07DVSTBXM/ref=sr_1_4?__mk_it_IT=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&dchild=1&keywords=kit+vinili&qid=1586677181&sr=8-4 https://www.amazon.it/detergente-19-gram-microfibra-manutenzione-mantenere/dp/B07H5C8ZL2/ref=sr_1_31?__mk_it_IT=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&dchild=1&keywords=kit+vinili&qid=1586677181&sr=8-31 Maybe you intended fourth image? This: That is not an hair, it's a scuff. The records was graded Near Mint by the seller on Discogs. I'm agreed with you but I can't do anything. Oh damn, mold!? Not tried any washing, I am inquiring right now. With dish soap + scrubbing I'm afraid to damage the records. Better before try a washing with the method by hand we're talking about? Hey porcy, I'm from Italy too. what do you think about those links I share above from Amazon?
  7. Studebaker is not available in my country. For near 50€ (that for just a try is maybe too much) I can find this and this. What do you think about? I was thinking too to start without machine, doing by hand. Washing phase with fluid and brush is ok but then for a good rinse how do you do? @Brad @mjzee On the other side, with Spin clean or similar, the whole operation seems faster but if I have to wash many LPs I will have to rinse them in the dirty water caused by previous LPs (?) 🤔 Is it so you do guys?
  8. Thanks @Brad @mjazzg @sidewinder well I'll give it a try. Already read so many forums and posts that it's difficult to choose what record cleaning machine. The most mentioned and criticized is Spin Clean, I think. But out there there many, just see on Amazon. For now I don't want to buy a professional machine. Just for trying it I thought to spend like 30€ (?), things like this (available on Amazon Italy, where I am)? What do you advice? @mjazzg From the photos above, you think the LPs have damages? They have visible scratches but I don't know if they're serious. From the listening I just hear various click/pop, nothing more. and thanks for L'Art du Son, it seems excellent
  9. Hi I recently read that washing a dirty LP (also the new ones) could improve a lot the sound removing extra noise, clicks and pops. I just bought some used LPs (BYG reissues by Get Back), I'd like to know from you if they're dirty, damaged or what and then if a washing could improve them. They've a lot of click/pops, especially at start and end of each side. Here some photos, I hope you can see the surface: Don't look at those big dust particles, that I usually remove before and after each listen with one of that classic brush for vinyl. I'm not an expert of washing LPs, I read of it a lot and I know it's kind of a religion Anyway for a few money I would also be willing to try
  10. Sure that thinking about a vinyl done from MP3s make you shiver!
  11. Thanks guys for your very useful answers and advices! 👏 Yes I'd like to compare the reissues myself but I've to buy them on Discogs and buying one single LP is too expensive because of the shipping so for that I'm going to buy a bulk Anyway, @clifford_thornton just said "I'm sure they are needle drops from Get Back reissues", so I was asking if a needle drop of a needle drop will deteriorates further the quality
  12. Wow @mjazzg, what a luck for me! The two reissue you're talk about have that gold/black sticker, posted before? Also they should be very recent, when you bought them? About the sound quality, you said "sound ok, nothing better", so they're not so horrible. I just read how the Scorpio reissues suck in anyway (from sleeve, to vinyl, to sound). Is it true that the artwork has blurry text and images, low quality print on cover? 17€ for this reissue, in your opinion, it's ok for what it is? For the same price I can get the Get Back.
