  1. I have a Hammond XK-3c and I'm having trouble adjusting the internal Leslie sim parameters - the changes I make do not persist after I turn the organ off. I have heard that I'm supposed to "record the parameters to the Cabinet type," but I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't know what that means. Do I find the Cabinet type (which is easy) and then save it, somehow(?), before adjusting other Leslie parameters? Or do I treat the Cabinet type as just another parameter, however one that must always be reset (first) whenever I reset other Leslie parameters, then save everything to a Combination Preset? (I don't have this problem with other parameters such as Reverb, Click, etc.) Thanks.
  2. I'm still using my old XK3c. Recently, an alleged friend asked me why I was using an outdated instrument. I replied, "At one time, it was good enough for Rod Argent and David Rosenthal to tour with, despite their obvious access to actual B-3's." That got me to wondering what other well-known musicians used it, before the XK-5 came out. Any ideas out there?
  3. I recently acquired both a Vent II and a Lounsberry Tall&Fat. I like them both and intend to use one of them for my overdrive effect. Do any of you have opinions as to which is better for that purpose? I'm using an XK3-c.
