I downloaded Pangaea yesterday from CDU, it's still $1.98. It's $17 (for the MP3 download! ) on Amazon, 24 credits on eMusic. Great deal, thanks mjzee! Agharta MP3s on CDU is $4.95; like the others above, $0.99/track. Incidentally, for anyone that cares, the Pangaea MP3s from CDU appear to be encoded at a constant 256kbit (not VBR). And, last but of course not least.... regarding the MUSIC... DAMN. Some mind-blowing stuff.

Without looking into the box set that I've had for many years, that sounds about right. Certainly, the entire original recording is included in the box as well as additional material from that engagement including at least one track where Shelly Manne is the drummer in place of Billy Higgins. Thanks!

Discography question: is the "At the Blackhawk" release the same stuff on the "Complete Riverside Recordings" box set, disc 13?

Wow... sad to hear this, but of course, best wishes to each of you. When I first heard you guys play (way back in 2003!), I knew it was something special. It was great back then, and it just kept getting better... Thanks for all the great music, guys!

I can understand the logic in charging 12 credits for titles that have less than that -- if I download 45 minutes (for example) of music, does it really matter if that time consists of 3 tracks, or 12? Album only on certain tracks not so much -- I fail to see how that is much different than 45-rpm "singles" that were available for purchase for less than the price of the entire album. All of that aside, I find myself checking Amazon first before downloading _anything_ from eMusic. There has been more than a few times when Amazon was more economical.

Just picked up a new one from Rudresh/Steve Lehman on Clean Feed: Personnel: Damion Reid (d), Liberty Ellman (g), Matt Brewer (b), Rudresh Mahanthappa (as), Steve Lehman (as) What I've heard so far sounds great... interesting combination of the two altos, plus guitar.
