  1. I bought a Desmond Toronto set Mosaic found somewhere but it lacked the backing card of Disc VII which someone here kindly sent me a photo copy. On a whim, I reached out to Scott and he replied he would sent the missing card. Thanks Scott!!
  2. 20 years of learning a lot about jazz! Keep the groove going!!
  3. 64 here. A buyer for over 30 years. 1st was Count Basie Live Roulette. Latest was Mulligan-Concert Band.
  4. Great! Will a hr download be available?
  5. Thanks. I dled the set and will compare a few tracks to the discs themselves to see if my tired ears can detect any difference.
  6. given the overall size I don't think these files are lossless. Thanks though!
  7. Scott doesn't have it. Could someone send it via Dropbox or whatever freeware app you use? Many 🙏. Direct email is jhw59@hotmail dot com
  8. My friend Lani Spahr's remastering has continued to receive recognition. I'm working my way through a number of discs he gifted me. His restoration efforts are superb. Elgar, Vaughn Williams and Solti are only a few artists he has brought back to life. Highly recommended!
  9. Heath Brothers-Live at the Public Theater. Marvelous album and I was fortunate to meet a mastering engineer who digitized it for me.
  10. I met Bertrand years ago but I doubt he remembers. I've met David Weiss at a Cookers show and we've exchanged a few emails.
  11. Same thing. I got a badge for being a member for one year but joined many years ago.
  12. Mine arrived yesterday. Always fun to decide what disc to play first.
  13. Heard her on Sirius. Quite a voice. Let us know how the performance was.
  14. Cookers here 10/14. Hope to get to the show as it's always a wonderful musical experience. Sorry to read about GC, he has dealt with serious health issues in the past few years.
  15. Add the wonderful Relentless with Danny Gatton.
  16. Damn. Saw him several times with different bands. Way too young RIP
  17. Thanks for this. I attended the Heath show and some others but can't remember specifics. Is there anyway to get a copy of these recordings?
  18. Our nice carrier quit recently and mail delivery has suffered. Evidently, like many local businesses, USPS is desperate for staff.
  19. I found it 4 discs with excellent sound. Listening to the big band disc now. The Golden Years.
  20. There's a three 3 cd set of Basie's later career on Pablo, small group, vocalists and big band. I'd recommend it. Not expensive
  21. My uncle and Ted Hughes got into lots of mischief at Cambridge, so my parents knew him and Sylvia Plath quite well. RPW was a good friend of my grandfather and I remember meeting him several times as a child. I read the Winslow-good but not as good as the narco trilogy which is top tier, IMO.
  22. I like it but too electric for my father who played with Shank in a high school band. We saw BS a couple of times in DC and my father and BS reminisced between sets.
