  1. I recently received an e-mail about the following Joe McPhee show in Seattle. I missed him last time he played here, so I am looking forward to this show. Anyone else in the Greater Seattle Area thinking of attending? It would be great to meet some fellow Seattle board members. Here is the info: Earshot Jazz Presents... Joe McPhee w/ Michael Bisio & Paul Harding Monday, August 1st at 8 pm The Tractor Tavern, Seattle, WA Admission: $12 general; $10 Earshot members, students 21+, and seniors.
  2. Check out the Earshot Jazz Calendar.
  3. Hey Peter, You should check out Bottleworks in Wallingford for a huge beer selection. Here is their Web site: Bottleworks My favorite beer also comes from Milwaukee, WI: Sprecher Special Amber. Unfortunately I can't find it out here in the PNW so I'll stick with Pabsts and the fine selection at Trader Joe's.

  9. I know what you mean. I've been listening to it for about a half hour and I live over 1,000 miles away. It almost sounds like a Luc Ferrari piece.

  15. It's the first disc of the Second Cycle (Volume Two). That cycle also contains the Godfather skit where Eugene Levy, playing Floyd the Barber, asks Don Caballero to take care of Opie. Looking forward to Cycle Three!
  16. Yes, I also always return to the Casals. Very comforting.
  17. I’m also partial towards the Pablo Casals interpretations. But, it's nice to have a few different recordings of these Suites.
