I recently got the Donaldson set, 6 discs contaning 10 SESSIONS! Less than 10 bucks per Lou LP, most out of print. That's just about the best bargain going. And there's 9 LPs worth of material on the 6 disc Mobley. I heart Mosaic.

Since it sucks and I want to help poor Mosaic out by purchasing lame , unsaleable product, I just ordered a T/K/M set. Jedi mind tricks sometimes backfire

Don't feel bad! I started the thread, it quickly turned to sound-quality questions, and the I steered it toward the "hijacking" because I've been wanting to ask the question in this forum and it seemed as good a time as any to risk ridicule. And your fantastic answer didn't ridicule at all. I like where this thread has gone. I also really love the Reece set. I'm lisening to it at work on a pretty decent system with great separation. And the quality is aces to these old ears! As is the quality of this discussion. Keep on keepin' on...

I think the Mr T set sounds great- but that's my ears. Hop over to the "Dizzy Reece Select" thread where I asked the question "what's wrong with McMaster anyway" and got a good answer...

It sounds terrific to me- it's a McMaster job, but he doesn't upset me like he does most other folks. But I've got pretty bad ears, too- big chunk of upper midrange is next to gone. So why does everyone have it in for poor Mr. McMaster? And if he's as tin eared as all the kids are saying, why does Cuscuna keep him on?

Great stuff- I've got the Clifford one on CD, and sweet LP burns (off of clean original EmArcys) of With Striings, The Nearness of You, Dream of You and At Midnight. But I've never seen the box set! Didn't even know that it was out there. OOP?

Some prices are high, some not. Fast service, reasonable post rates ($1 + media rate) has made them okay in my book.

I've bought from him- lotsa stuff is on half.com, the Mosaics are eventually headed for eBay. He's friendly, great w/ communication, and the disc I got was minty fresh. His half/eBay id: jazzmantom2004.
