  1. I saw him play in Madrid, at the Café Populart, I think, in a trio with bass and drums (Carlos "Sir Charles" González must have been the drummer). It was in the early 90's. I was just starting to listen to jazz and he absolutely blew my mind ! I remember him as very influenced by Coltrane, and with a deep, spiritual touch. And those hands !
  2. "The Lady Is A Trans", Cuong Vu & Mickey Finn.
  3. Hola Fer, the take of "The day john brown..." on the McKusick's "the Jazz workshop" (RCA/BMG spanish version) is 7:51 long. on "The Rca victor jazz workshop: the arrangers" is 7:14 long. so it's seems that they are two different takes, but I don't know if those are the two of the Lonehill release. I hope it helps, Cheers, Diego
  4. and Rempis (as, member of Vandermark5) not Renfus. Nice blindfold test. Cheers, D.
  5. # 6 on first record is an alt. take of Call and # 6 on disc II is "untitled sample". I've just checked on this CT discography: http://www.shef.ac.uk/misc/rec/ps/efi/mtaylors.html A wonderful disc indeed! Cheers, D.

    Funny Rat

Go for "The Moonwalker", a wonderful solo date by Carlo Actis Dato, a hell of a sax player and a really nice guy. Cheers, D.
  7. Hi Agustín, I only have # 457 (I'm too young to have the others ). You can join me by e-mail and we'll see how we can "arrange ourselves" and if you give time I can translate the thing for you. Cheers, Diego
