  3. I didn't post this topic back in January to see it turn into a place for personal attacks and insults. Maybe one of the moderators could lock it.

I've seen what's going on over there. Can we please leave it over there?

    My thoughts exactly.

    JAW,

Goodspeak lurks at Jazzcorner, and runs down it's members here talking his 'truth'.

Other members are asking to "leave it there" and all he's done is bring it here.

The author of this thread was making a simple observation.

Goodspeak continues to lurk there and reports here though his *eyes*

My ultimate retort is for those who wish to see for themselves, as he continues to harbor resentments.

I agree to leave it there, and Goodspeak here.

  5. Speaking of boorish behavior, I could post numerous examples of yours from over there Goodspeak, so that your purer than the driven snow personna that you paint here can be offset with a little truth, which led to your being suspended for a time (on more than one occassion) over the there following one of your meltdowns.

I'd be happy to do that for you if you wish?

I'm not actually going to waste 1 minute of my time on you to do so, but it shouldn't be any surprize to anyone who may have observed you on chat boards, that your M.O. repeatedly as poor Mr. Victim goes wherever you reside.

    Organissimo members.....you've been warned.

    David,

I've been hosting & producing a "Straight No Chaser" broadcast for 15+ years at KSJS 90.5fm San Jose and www.ksjs.org

I did the show without a title early on and went with the current title after getting permission from the Monk family.

There's a North Carolina station that has a SNC show with different hosts thoughout the week in the same time slot.

After learning about the NC show thought about changing, but the show already was 'known' and had an idendity of sorts for more than 10 years at that time so we just kept it going.

    Carry on!

  7. Right place at the right time I suppose.....lived in NY and had the pleasure of seeing them a number of times.

Certainly an unsung great band for the most part.

The Mosaic 3 CD Pullen mini-box is essentially Adams/Pullen throughout and outstanding!

Well, disk three is piano trio stuff, but the first two disks are gold. Not criticizing disk three, just admitting I never get around to playing it.

I stand corrected....did not have the collection in front of me; plenty of Adams/Pullen to go around on that collection, and love Pullen in general.

  9. ...probably not going to get Sonny Rollins in for $5.00 per day! I have heard the festival was pretty good some time ago but haven't attended myself. If I lived near by, I'd take a chance for $5.00.

Prior to last year it was completely FREE

    Richard Scheinin is spot on!

They were getting 160,000-170,000 people for the weekend went they didn't include the likes of Albright and a R&B stage

  10. The year is close anough to the end to say that for me, "Do The Boomerang" is the most fun CD I've heard this year. Nothing wrong about some unpretentious FUN!

Byron was on my weekly program on KSJS, San Jose 11/19 as we featured the CD after a interesting Q&A

He also was on Fresh Air with Terri Gross talking about the CD (archived at NPR)
