Maybe they're too clever, too busy, too something - but whatever it is, he's not doing it for me. His work on two new cds by Janis Siegel and Karrin Allyson just left me underwhelmed. It's not that he's not original - I suppose he is, it's just there's something in his writing that consistently rubs me the wrong way. Anyone else out there with thoughts on Gil's work?
