As mentioned, after VPI treatment the sonics are significantly better than expected based on what I've read on this board and others. It's a very good record - the unaccompanied vocal piece is especially nice. Well-conceived and not just another NYC "loft" session (though the cast might give that impression). I'm sorta surprised it goes for a lot of money, considering the fact that it's not that rare, but whatever... When Porter was doing their Seeds reissues they tried to do this one as well but the Lee estate wasn't having any of it (they wanted something like a million dollars for the right to reissue it).
