Have not played this in many years.."poor Eric" is such a beautiful track..and Clifford Jarvis!Clifford Jarvis was one underrated drummer.Lived in London for many years and passed away over here I think. Have come across musicians who used to jam with him. He was pretty low key in his years here. A Lark Ascending
Ralph Towner "solstice" (ECM, Germany) easily one of my top ten ecms of all time...Mine too. When I was dabbling with jazz in 1976 this was one of the records that made me want to look further.

king ubu
Yeah! Played LPs 1-3 straight through. I've heard the music before, but it's so darn good, I finally needed to get the box for real!

king ubu
(the double LP, guess the number on the top right of this AMG pic refers to the CD edition) (which misses five tracks if I counted correctly)

jeffcrom
Knocky Parker and his Backwoods Boys (Audiophile). An enjoyable, pretty lightweight LP from 1964. The interesting personnel includes both New Orleans clarinetist Raymond Burke and 23-year-old Delbert McClinton on harmonica - his first recording session, I think. As usual with Ewing Nunn's Audiophile label, the sound is excellent.
