That's too bad. I really enjoy my Dad's record collection.

My Dad had a few "Sing Along With Mitch Miller" LPs in the stacks. :)

I did keep a couple of Simon & Garfunkel LPs, although I later replaced them with clean copies. The rest was so scratched, they were basically unlistenable.

My Dad has several hundred great classical LPs (I'm enjoying classical music more and more) and a few dozen Ella Fitzgerald and a few other jazz artists' LPs. And almost all in excellent condition. Most of all these he now has on CD and with him, I've got the LPs.

Reform Art Unit - w/ Alaeddin Adlernest - (RAU/Kovarik's Musikothek, Austria)

re: the Henderson LP discussed above, I have a clean NY USA stereo pressing that I remember sounding good, though it's been ages since it's been on deck. Will have to rectify.

Man I have not listened to the Reform Art Unit in many years now.  Good reminder to pull them out again.  I have that LP and the debut as well as the self-titled one from 1975.  Also have the double LP with Masters of Unorthodox jazz which is a great album despite the, uh, "lovely" cover :0

Itaru Oki Trio - Murder Classroom - (Jazz Creaters [sic], JP)

Cool!

I bought the Bridge CD reissue when that came out around 10 years ago or so.  Very nice session; would like it on vinyl someday myself.

Tonight's playlist:

Takeru "s/t" (Philips, Japan)

Akira Miyazawa "Kiso" (Victor, Japan)

Joe Henderson "mode for joe" (blue note, NY stereo)

yeah, I remember that disc coming out but had been holding off, figuring one day I'd find or not be outbid on a copy. Took about 10 years but the internet came through. It's a strong slice of "wife-bothering music" indeed...
