i didnt hate it.  im very particular these days.  Will i grow to hate it?  maybe.  Theres not a lot of jazz guitar like that on columbia right.   It really looks like a crown records cover, i cant put my finger on which.  or maybe a conglomeration- when  i first was flippin thru i thought i passed a Crown

I love Mark Helias' band Open Loose, but I'm not familiar with that LP, optatio.   Looks very interesting.  What do you think of it?

Dewey Redman was the reason to buy the LP. But Mark Helias' debut as a leader is convincing. See Robert Palmer, paragraph 7 https://www.nytimes.com/1987/05/17/arts/top-bassists-are-the-bottom-line-in-jazz-ensembles.html. But there is no reissue on CD http://www.enjajazz.de/artist.htm#h
