The '4 Men With Beards' Black Rhythmn Happening is a good one. Nice remastering and much improved sleeve with great notes (by Eddie) and gatefold cover.  :tup

I'm a big fan of Ghetto Music but never really got around to the second LP. I remember the songs being a lot shorter and more radio-friendly, like a bizarro Duke Pearson record from the same period.

Dakota Staton - Dakota 2 lp set from Groove Merchant

BTW, for those who are looking for OJC vinyl, it appears -- according to the Acoustic Sounds website -- that there is a heap of $10 reissues coming out at the end of this month. I have no idea as to the quality of the sound, but looks like Concord isn't abandoning the vinyl format.

Hal McKusick Quintet (Coral) featuring Art Farmer, Eddie Costa, Milt Hinton, Gus Johnson

Always wondered why Barry Galbraith did not play on that session. It would have been even better!

McKusick and Galbraith went even better than Desmond and Jim Hall!
