Great cover on that one. I don't have this one but have found Duke's later output pretty consistent if not especially different or unusual.

I had it - beautiful looking but kind of wallpaper-y in my estimation. Surprised that I somehow got $45 for it; guess people get excited.

Spinning this. Just bought it at Jazz Record Mart on a visit to Chicago. Wishing all Chicagoan, and other organissimo members, well.

Earlier today:

John Surman & Jack DeJohnette - The Amazing Adventures of Simon Simon (ECM)

John Surman - Private City (ECM)

I'm a sucker for those 80s synthy ECMs on a rainy day.

Ronnie Ross----Double Image-----(Parlophone) a nice 1958 date , all the better for being mint. Mono of course.

there must be an "Album cover featuring" thread that can accomodate that corker of a cover.

Jackie McLean - Jacknife (Blue Note)

The High Frequency session. Jackie with DeJohnette is sensational. A damn shame they didn't record together more.

Agreed. As Jackie said, Miles went and heard the band and that was it for his drummer. Same thing with Anthony Williams.
