Oh yeah The Slide Hampton session is absolutely FANTASTIC, in fact more than an octet with euphonium and tuba, huge sounding group. You were spot on there ! The Londons are superb sounding LPs. Usually in my experience significantly better than the Atlantic/Jubilee etc. issue equivalents from the US. Recorded in 1963; this pressing, made in 1967, is mono. Pretty late for dedicated mono issue, isn't it? Perhaps the original recording was in mono.
