Can - Tago Mago - (United Artists, UK pressing)

A classic.  Have a mint German pressing.  Never did fully get into the first Amon Duul albums..always loved the folky OHR album best but didn't even keep that one.  I did eventually buy a CD reissue of it that tacked on the great 7" tracks but for my money the "second" version of the band was best.  "yeti" is an absolute beast no pun intended!

great platter .... saw this band too .... those were the days ....

Indeed - Cedar used to make annual, memorable 1 week appearances at Ronnies and his appearances back then always had Billy Higgins tow. Always tried to make one night of each of those stints.

thinking about it, the band with Berg I saw around the time 'ER2' was released already had David Williams in it. Sam Jones was already very ill or had passed on. :(

Great as it is having CDs or LPs by bands such as this, the experience of seeing them can never be matched.

You`re right about David Williams having replaced Sam Jones at the time of their performance (in Vienna) ....

Yeah I like the early Duul stuff a lot for whatever reason -- been on a 'Krautrock' kick lately and digging out a lot of this stuff again. Luckily most of mine are in really, really nice shape. The cover on Tago Mago has a small sticker tear and some edge wear (unsurprising on this textured thin UK pocket sleeve) but the vinyl is crisp.
