That's such a great cover.  I bought three of the RSD Hino titles as my introduction to his leader dates, this one may have to be the next

Meanwhile, the morning's arrival.  What a hidden (from me, at least) gem this is

Just finished Stiles and moving on to Ruby with Scott. I am guessing this is the earliest recording those two made together.

Yeah, that cover is evocative, isn't it?!?  I display LPs on the walls of my listening room.  27 albums that I'm always rotating, putting one up and taking another down.  Fuji has been up on the wall for a l-o-n-g time b/c it's such a lovely cover.

... And the music on Fuji is excellent too. ;)

Earl Hines Plays Duke Ellington (Book of the Month Club). Preposterously, this four LP set is formatted for stacking and flipping--side 1 backed by side 8, side 2 by side 7, etc. I'm imagining all the Earl Hines fans out there with their compact stereos stacking their records to listen to 4 or 8 sides in a row... On second thought, not a bad idea in the face of such piano magnificence. Image result for Earl HInes Plays duke ellington

Yeah those Hinos on Canyon are great. I like this Victor album too, the Berlin Jazz Festival one is also nice.

Not the greatest sound on that Tubby reissue though. The original Fontana and recent Universal reissue are better.

That's one expensive LP for such a little known leader. Is it because he just died?

No, I was asking if it was so expensive but he just died? In my experience, Fresh Sound LPs generally don't fetch big money. This one appears to be an exception.

Implausible, Pedro Iturralde died today! I don't know the current price, for example this is an ongoing offer https://www.vinyltom.com/product_info.php/iturralde-pedro-quartet-featuring-hampton-hawes-p-11784. I've owned the LP for a long time.

PS. These price differences are strange though https://www.discogs.com/sell/list?sort=listed%2Cdesc&limit=25&master_id=794925&ev=mb
