I'm jealous, John. It was either that set or the Savoy which I purchased earlier today.  Next month I'll get the Beehive. Good to hear some positive feedback on this set.

More than positive Tom. Very enthusiastic :tup . Now listening to the Sal Salvador sets on Discs 7 & 8. You know that vocalists are not really my 'thing' (I much prefer instrumental jazz), but the Johnny Hartman session is very, very good.  

This is one of those Mosaic sets where the individual sessions seem to sound better as part of the whole set, rather than on their own. I can't explain why that should be, but it's true for a few other Mosaics as well, the Elvin Jones set , for example.
