Quite a few good titles on this list.

Have you found any info on what the source material is (analog or digital, etc)? This link doesn't seem to say anything about that.

I also have not been a great fan of the way my older atlantic original LPs sound. Too many of them have sounded muddy to me. The one that bugs me the most (and isn't on this list) is My Favorite Things, where I think the horn sounds distant or muzzled or something. I have early mono and stereo copies and the same problem occurs. I haven't noticed this with the Ornette Coleman LPs I have, but I'd be interested if others have this same opinion. Great music though.

I have a hunch these are from a digital source. Chances are these are from Rhino/Scorpio. Thought I'd pick up 2 or 3 and see what they are like.

I have one original and a few reissues of the Coltrane titles that are not on the list. My reissue of My Favorite Things sounds ok, but nothing special. If these reissues sound as good I'll be happy.

I bought a copy of the Roland Kirk 'Blacknuss' and LP sleeve and labels looked OK (I think Rhino did the reissue). The only thing was the music which came out of the speakers was Lee Morgan's 'Candy', which must have been the Classic Records version. Weird, or what !

I needed a nice reasonably-cheap vinyl copy of 'Candy' anyway so I didn't complain. :D
