Bill Nelson
Not to mention the hard-to-sell follow-up LP, featuring Curt Flood & the Stolen Bases singing these hit-n-runs: "Highway Robbery" (Tanya Tucker) "Little Criminals" (Randy Newman) "Raised On Robbery" (Joni Mitchell) "Steal Away" (Jimmy Hughes, Johnny Taylor) "Stop Thief" (Carla Thomas) "I Take What I Want" (Sam and Dave) "Touch and Go" (Al Wilson) "Stealing In the Name of the Lord" (Paul Kelly) "Snatch It and Grab It" (Joe Turner) and a BONUS favorite,"Who Stole the Kishka"

Dan Gould
This oddball is not just up on ebay right now but the listing has samples! http://www.ebay.com/itm/R-B-Jazz-45-Maury-Wills-w-Lionel-Hampton-Crawdad-Hole-Glad-Hamp-mp3-/171584308915?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item27f338c6b3 I can't listen at work but maybe someone can and report. I wonder if this will go for a crazy price or not.

Well, that record is in Bruyninckx' discography Lionel Hampton leader dates listings (rec approx. 1962-63) so apparently this record IS known to discog buffs. And Bruyninckx lists a second single from the same session (Maybe Tomorrow/Nothing's Impossible) issued on Cameo. I wonder if this will go for a crazy price or not. Let me put it this way...I once saw Mudcat Grant's trio open before a Cardinal game (quite accidental, all of it). Don't really remember it with any detail, but all things being equal (meaning no Lionel Hampton), I'd much rather go back in time to that Cardinal game to hear Mudcat than I would click on those links to hear this 45's samples. OTOH, all things are not equal, there IS Lionel Hampton, just as there is no publicly available time machine. "Take it, Hamp" b/w "Take It, Hamp".
