chris olivarez
Bobby guests on a track on the new Los Lobos album "The Ride" and he is killer!!!! I also enjoyed Bobby's work on Gabor Szabo's "High Contrast" and the Womack tune "I Used To Love Her" is a classic.

Guest
Does anyone know if the album: Gabor Szabo Bobby Womack High Contrast is available on CD?
danasgoodstuff
Thanks for the lovely clip Jim, but I still prefer the version of Looking For a Love that he did with his brothers in the Valentinos (sp?). but then I feel that way about most early v. later R&B/soul/whatever enyways, but that's the subject for anther post or ten. on the other hand, Bobby W's versions of CA Dreamin' and Fly Me to the Moon are pretty trippindicular, if you like that whole juxtaposition of material and style thang. Bobby is friends with Ron Wood, so if Woody went back to play bass, or they all took turns, Booby could join the Stones and improve the band no end, or at least do a killer It's All Over Now... Jim Alfredson
Damn, haven't heard this tune in awhile. It's still BAD!
Dave James
First for Viking Frank. High Contrast is available on CD right now from da bastids at Dusty Groove for the princely sum of $10.99. I've been a Womack fan for years. I'm sure I have at least five of his LP's out in my garage. My favorite tune is "Fact Of Life / He'll Be There When the Sun Goes Down". That one has the greatest B.S. rap about hooking up with a gal after the show, but only for - ahem - above board purposes. Great stuff. Up over and out.
