I received word today that Little Johnny C by Johnny Coles is no longer available and has been removed from my queue. No warning.

That is lame. I have learned the hard lesson that if you want the Blue Note material from BMG, buy it the second it is available.

A couple things:

Howard Roberts - Good Pickin's

Jimmy Raney - Featuring Bob Brookmeyer

Herb Ellis - Ellis in Wonderland

Eddie Fisher - & the Next One Hundred Years

Judy Garland - Definitive Collection

Bing Crosby - Definitive Collection

Who knew Carrie Fisher's father was so funky??!!

For anyone who is interested, these all arrived with regular retail barcodes and even with those pesky strips on the top.

Each one is top notch, BTW. :tup

Not much lately, but I don't think any of these have been mentioned:

Cyrus Chestnut - Genuine Chestnut

Michel Camilo - Rhapsody in Blue

Spyro Gyra - Wrapped in a Dream

Louis Armstrong - Definitive Collection

Michael Buble - Caught in the Act (CD/DVD)

Mott the Hoople - Mott, All the Young Dudes

Chieftains - Essential

Wilco - Kicking Television :tup

Matisyahu - Youth

Eminem - Curtain Call (best of)

Elvis Costello - My Flame Burns Blue (w/bonus disc)

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Gimme Back my Bullets (CD/DVD)

CCR - Chronicle

Reba McEntire - #1's

Rush - Retrospective 1, and Retrospective 2

When are they gonna get some interesting new jazz titles? sheesh!

And how is this Matisyahu? Anybody checked him out yet? Hasidic reggae, interesting....

I would guess they are, though I'm not 100% certain. I ordered Corea's Light as a Feather because they included the song samples and AMG review of the 2CD version...and ended up with the regular old Polygram CD, so I guess it's order at your own risk.
