The following two are not in the best of conditions - the trio is an early cd-issue, mastered by Joe Tarantino, with a wobbly back-cover tray but the disc is in good condition, has only a few light scratches and the Monk with Coltrane is a European issued, ZYX, digipak, 20 bit-remastered and again the booklet is a little wobbly and the disc has surface scratches, though it plays fine. An airline/ground crew once left my luggage out in the rain, the runway I'd guess, for quite a number of hours which is the source of the wobblyness.

Still, if you do not have either of these discs, you better rectify that and what cheaper way than this, really?

Thelonious Monk with John Coltrane (Fantasy/OJC)

Thelonious Monk - Thelonious Monk (trios with P. Heath, Mapp, Blakey, Roach) (Prestige/OJC)

Ahhh, this little thread has been dormant for over a month now...is everyone feeling a little down and out?

Let's get this puppy up and running again. Here goes:

Up for grabs:

Bob Dylan - Carnegie Hall 1963 advance sampler-SEALED.

This is a promo-only disc that is being given away at some stores with the purchase of Dylan items. Great sound quality. I sure hope this complete set gets a release; since it's called an "advance" sampler, I have high hopes...

Goes to the first PM I receive. But please remember to offer something up to "Pay It Forward." I never received the cds I claimed in this thread. I'll let that Forum member deal with the Karma that might be causing to come his way... :beee:

Ok, Ready, Set, GO!!!

Here are a couple up for grabs...

1.  Sonny Rollins  "The Quartets Featuring Jim Hall" - earlier Bluebird (RCA) version  (punch hole on case if that bothers you)  Amazing stuff!  GONE!

2.  Joe McPhee-Jeb Bishop "The Brass City"  Okkadisc  - um, not my cuppa.  At all.  Look it up on AMG.  I'm sure someone would dig it.  Plus, it's free!

Ray, I'll get McPhee. I'll send you an e-mail with my address. Thanks.

David - I just saw this now but don't think I ever received an e-mail from you. Were you still interested in the McPhee?

No way, bud...you're a prince! :tup:cool:

I really don't wanna "Money Jungle" the guy...but it's just not in keeping with the spirit of this thread.

Really blew my mind that it went down like that... <_<

Okay, got THAT off my chest... I shall never mention it again. :w

I've a couple of discs to offer up to the "pay if forward" karma gods. P.S. Thanks to Parkertown for some quality Dylan...

They were bought in a sale at Mole Jazz in London maybe 10 years ago and are genuine silver cds but come with no artwork

They are:

The Complete Dean Benedetti Recordings of Charlie Parker Disc 1 and Disc 3 Not sure why they were seperated from their set or are nude and have no art, but they are a nice sampler for the set.

Will separate if there is a lot of demand.

Thanks, Marcus.

Here's another I'm willing to give away,

Thelonious Monk - In Italy (Riverside/OJC) - 21 April 1961 Milan concert, with Rouse, Ore, and Dunlop. Remastered in 1990 by Phil De Lancie. I was surprised to see that the disc is abundantly scratched, but I do not remember any playback problems from the last time I listened to it. I will mail this without the jewel case.
