Ron S
I'm eagerly awaiting Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus. That's up for me in November (unless you get the last one ).
GA Russell
Noj's mentioning Mingus, Mingus... spurred me to add it to my queue. While there, I saw that Joe Henderson's In 'N Out is running low. So I moved it up to #1 on my queue.

Guest
I have thought about buying that Piano in the Foreground myself. I did recently get Blues in Orbit and it is fantastic. Ron- Did you get yours yet? What do you think?
Ron S
If you're asking about "Blues in Orbit," I did get it, and also like it a lot. My copy of "Piano in the Foreground" isn't scheduled to ship until later this month.

GA Russell
I've purchased very little new music this year, so I thought I would remedy that by putting some of the newly available ECMs at the top of my queue. First up: Charles Lloyd - Jumping the Creek.
GA Russell
Jacques and Paula Morelenbaum (husband and wife) are seasoned Brazilian musical veterans. Among other projects, they spent several years in Tom Jobim's "Banda Nova" and have worked with many other Brazilian artists. Jacques' cello playing is excellent, and he has done wonderful arrangements and orchestrations for many albums and movies. The couple worked in a project with Jobim's son called "Quarteto Jobim" and then connected up with Japanese pianist Ryuichi Sakamoto to record and perform Jobim music, and the two official releases that are available in America, "Casa" (recorded in Jobim's studio in his house!) and "A Day in New York" are beautiful cds. The latter is available from yourmusic.com and I think you'd like it. Lon, my nephew likes bossa nova, so I ordered for his Christmas present today a copy of Paula's Berimbau, on your recommendation. If he doesn't like it, I'm blaming you!!!

Tjazz
Sorry, Ray Charles: Friendship is no longer available. Sorry, Horace Silver: Silver's Blue is no longer available. Sorry, Art Blakey: Drum Suite is no longer available. These just dropped from my queue, so I wonder if it's because of the SONY copy protection re-call?
