House of the Dragon, second episode. Like this one more than the first. The show is pretty predictable so far, telegraphing their moves in advance, little surprising. But that will likely improve. The heroine has some charisma, I don't find her as attractive as some do but then again she's meant to be fifteen and I don't want to be attracted to fifteen year olds. They certainly are trying to make her seem very Kahlisee like, which is par for the course.

Marlins-Braves on Apple TV plus, but the announcers are the pits and the woman lead talks way too much… Stick to Bally…

Whenever the Giants are on Apple TV+, I turn off the sound and listen to music, it's the worst announcing team I've ever heard. The Giants pre /post game show announcer come close in awfulness, which is a shame as they use to have great teams in their hey-day. Both are examples of baseball trying to be hip and youth orientated, which never works. You're not going to get younger by throwing a bunch of stats at people and expecting to attract anyone. MLB leadership flat-out hate the game.

Sorry, turned into an Old-Geezer-Get-Off-My-Lawn-Rant!

The real annoyance was the addition of a statistic for each pitch as to predicted percentage that the batter would strike out, reach base, get a hit, etc. It was a case of too much data, which was pretty worthless on a pitch by pitch basis. Next time I'll listen to Braves radio network annnouncers and turn off the Apple TV+ talking heads.

I suspect the statistical overload is aimed at prop betters (bettors?).

Read an interesting article recently about how MLB is touting smartphone prop bet apps:
