Guest Mnytime
Honestly I don't know how some of these made this list. The Fact that anything by the Backstreet Boys is on here is scary. That it placed higher than any song from The Who or The Ramones and several others is really scary. Even Norah Jones made this list. My God the Hansons are on this list. Britney Spears is in the top 30. 100 Ray Of Light Madonna 99 Don't Know Why Norah Jones 98 MMMBop Hanson 97 Whip It Devo 96 Fight For Your Right Beastie Boys 95 Wonderwall Oasis 94 Surrender Cheap Trick 93 Closer Nine Inch Nails 92 Push It Salt-N-Pepa 91 Come To My Window Melissa Etheridge 90 Roxanne The Police 89 Hit Me With Your Best Shot Pat Benatar 88 Enter Sandman Metallica 87 Who Are You - (Single Version) The Who 86 Fast Car Tracy Chapman 85 My Name Is Eminem 84 Creep Radiohead 83 Do They Know It's Christmas? - Band Aid Various Artists 82 Tainted Love '91 Soft Cell 81 Ms. Jackson OutKast 80 Hungry Like The Wolf Duran Duran 79 Say My Name Destiny's Child 78 Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) Green Day 77 Work It Missy Elliott 76 Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) Eurythmics 75 I Wanna Be Sedated The Ramones 74 I Can't Go For That Hall & Oates 73 Mama Said Knock You Out LL Cool J 72 Starting Over (Just Like) John Lennon 71 Crash Into Me Dave Matthews Band 70 Do You Really Want To Hurt Me Culture Club 69 Real Love Mary J. Pearl Jam's Jeremy should be in the top 10 as well. The top 10 is pretty pathetic. Welcome to the Jungle isn't even on this list but the Backstreet Boys, Britney and countless others somehow made it. Come to think of it Paradise City and one or 5 others should be on this list. Edited June 19, 2003 by Mnytime
Jim Alfredson
Jesus.. who compiled that piece of garbage? Alicia Keys in the 30s?!?? Gimme a break. You're right, the Top Ten is downright shameful. Have the last 25 years really been that bad or do these people's tastes just suck? I mean really.... I Will Always Love You rated #8?!?! That song BLOWS!
tonym
You're missing one crucial fact here: These are the only videos (therefore songs) that VH1 show anyway. cheers, tony.
Guest Mnytime
You're missing one crucial fact here: These are the only videos (therefore songs) that VH1 show anyway. cheers, tony. Your mistaken these choices have nothing to do with the video's. This is purely about the songs themselves. Some of these songs VH1 either has never shown or doesn't show. Some of these don't even have videos in the first place to show. Just like all their other non video top 100 lists.
