I mean, you're not going to play better with 11.5 g chips than you will with 8g chips...it's just a personal preference. I like the way the heavier chips feel, and that way, you're used to a certain weight of chip when you start doing chip tricks at the casino to freak everyone out. That's why I bought 11.5g chips. We used to rely here on friends bringing back cards from trips to the USA where hardly used casino cards are available very cheaply even if the colours are for fluorescent lighting but recently I have been able to get packs of Bicycle cards here in UK for about £1.20 at COSTCO. I tried to introduce chips to our home games here after getting a load of them as a Xmas present but settling up at the end of the night when some of us are worse the wear for drink (my wife always hits the Southern Comfort when she is winning and there is always someone else willing to join her) is a pain so we just went back to betting with small change. I dont play real money games on the net and we are all waiting here for the new legislation on the liberalisation of gaming which will allow more and freer casinos to operate. Already there are two new applications for casino licences in this city so I'm looking forward to trying out some real money tournreys in the near future. First place is $10,000,000. It's in my five year plan to play some of the smaller events (there are actually 25 or 30 events as part of the world series every year). Triple draw lowball would be fun. 100 entrants and you play for the worst hand (eight or lower) every time. Realistically, I could see myself winning one of the limit hold 'em events. You are cheek by jowl with thousands of other people. It must be the most unpleasant playing experience I can imagine - whatever the prize money. I speak as someone who lost £7.00 playing on saturday to some of the most outrageous hands. I had aces and tens in one hand of 7-card stud and got beat by aces and jacks and then later lost to the same person with an ace jack flush when she had an ace queen flush. If the turn is a seven, check and call, and realize you've probably lost the hand. Ditto for the river. But, if the turn and river are A-Q, K-10 or some other high cards that will attract action, bet your chips and your neighbors. Nothing pleases me more than an ace on the turn on a flopped straight. In order to broadcast everything, play would have to be so slow that it would be unbearable, and nobody would be able to get into rhythm. Man, that would suck a ton. Not to mention, that'd be 20 tables with rabbit cams. Even with all of the sponsors that the WSOP now has, I can't imagine that it'd either be cheap or worth the expense for that matter. But, also, as you were saying, a live broadcast, unless it was delayed maybe 5 minutes, would be disastrous. Could you imagine the shit that would go on? Now they make nearly invisible earpieces. Have someone watch the WSOP netcast from their hotel room and send you messages on what everyone is holding. That would be entirely within the realm of possibility and incredibly shitty. I saw my cousin demolish Hellmuth in a ring game. I like Negraneau's style, and Ivey's a damn good player as well. There's an english player who plays every hand like it's his last (Gus something), and I wish I had the balls to play like he does. The guy that won the WSOP won with 7-3o. I can't believe it.
